Interests and Research:

I am with the Centre for Australian Weather and Climate Research, working with the Strategic Radar Enhancement Project (SREP) in the Weather and Environmental Prediction group. My focus is on relating radar data to rainfall in order to assimilate this information into the ACCESS weather model. See here for the results of a study into this, and the PPT talk (3MB).

Previously I worked on interpretation of radar images, thunderstorm strike probability nowcasting, intelligent alerts and automatic weather event detection systems.
