Interests and Research:
Intraseasonal to interannual variability of the atmosphere/ocean climate system and its role in weather and climate prediction, with particular specialisation in equatorial waves, the Madden-Julian oscillation, the Australian monsoon, and mechanisms of rainfall variability. Techniques development for the analysis of atmospheric and oceanic data, especially spectral analysis and methods for prediction. Observational analysis, theoretical interpretation, and numerical modelling.
