Interests & Research:

I am interested in how the ocean and atmosphere interact and the effects of atmospheric forcing on the ocean mixed layer.
  • Air-Sea Interaction
In-situ flux estimation, ship motion correction, flow distortion, low-wind speed conditions, effects of waves on bulk transfer coefficients.
  • Ocean Model Prediction System BLUElink> Ocean Forecasting Australia
I am responsible for the wind fields derived from satellite scatterometer which will be assimilated into the coupled atmospheric models. I will also be involved in implementing a two-way coupling between the atmosphere and ocean wave (WAM) models.
  • Surface Flux Analysis (SURFA) Project
International collaboration to compare model fluxes with in-situ observations.
