The following figures show comparisons between SWH from various versions of the wave model with SWH observations at Kingfish B Oil Platform (data courtesy of Lawson and Treloar).

This first time series represents SWH from the wave model run with deep water physics, (i.e., no bottom dissipation). Although the wave model is biased low throughout most of the period, the Scatter Index (SI), representing time-varying errors is remarkably good. A significant amount of the bias arises from the wave model not capturing the second peak in SWH.
