Some Indicators of Extreme Events
These indicators were calculated by Malcolm Haylock from the APN Climate Network
of 90 stations across the region for the period from 1961 up till 2000.
Hot Days represents the frequency of days with the maximum temperature above the
1961-1990 mean 99th percentile
Cold Nights represents the frequency of days with minimum
temperature below the 1961-1990 mean 1st percentile
