CAWCR is a recently formed joint venture of CSIRO and the Australian Bureau of Meteorology. The Australian Community Climate and Earth System Simulator (ACCESS) is a fully coupled modelling system being developed within CAWCR with university sector involvement.
A number of prominent scientists and experts from overseas, Australian research agencies and universities have been invited to give presentations on the water and carbon cycle. Some key themes include:
